Food Clash privacy

Applies to the Food Clash app, which lets you search a food-pairing library and, after signing in, ask an AI assistant.

This service is operated by llab08, Hong Kong, and these terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong.

Account and food library

Sign-in uses our authentication server at supabase.llab08.com. It handles your account identifier, e-mail address and the profile details supplied by your sign-in provider. Searches and requests for food-pairing information go to our server.

If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple shares an account identifier, your e-mail address (or an Apple relay address if you choose Hide My Email) and, on the first sign-in only, the name you choose to share. Our authentication server stores the identifier and e-mail address with your shared llab08 sign-in account, and stores a name you share as profile information. These account details are retained; see the account-removal limitations below. Apple handles forwarding for relay addresses, subject to its relay service and your forwarding settings. Food Clash does not receive your Apple ID password.

AI assistant

The AI assistant needs a sign-in. The app sends your message, the selected language and recent conversation messages to our chat service with your sign-in token. Model-provider credentials are held on the server, not in the app.

Our chat service checks your sign-in token and then sends your message (up to 2,000 characters), the selected language, up to ten recent conversation messages (each up to 4,000 characters) and any food-library entries it looks up for the answer to llab08’s own AI gateway at sub2api.llab08.com. The gateway runs on our server, and connections to it pass through Cloudflare. It passes the request to a third-party AI model provider, which writes the reply; one question can take two requests. Your e-mail address, sign-in token and account identifier are not sent to the gateway or the provider. Neither the chat service nor the app saves the conversation.

The AI model provider used through our gateway is Anthropic, with its Claude models. Another provider may be used later only after this section is updated. Anthropic processes the request under its own terms; we make no promise on its behalf about how long it keeps the conversation or whether it uses it to train models. Do not submit health records or other sensitive personal information to chat.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Food Clash account in the app. Food Clash currently stores no account-specific food-library or conversation records, so deletion records the product deletion and signs you out on that device. Your shared llab08 sign-in identity and data in other llab08 products remain, so those products keep working. If you signed in with Apple, you must confirm with Apple first and we ask Apple to revoke Food Clash’s access before deletion; if that fails, nothing is deleted. A new Food Clash account cannot be created with the same llab08 sign-in, Apple or Google account, or e-mail address for two years. During that time we keep only keyed one-way hashes of those identifiers, not the identifiers themselves; the hashes are used only for this product’s block and are erased automatically after two years. To erase the remaining shared sign-in across products, write to hello@llab08.com.

Hosting and logs

Vercel hosts the chat service; authentication and the food database run on our server. Hosting providers process request information such as network address, requested path and time for delivery and operations.
