Immigration Info (immigrationApp) privacy

Applies to the Immigration Info mobile app for iOS and Android (repository name immigrationApp, bundle id app.immigrationinfo.mobile): country profiles for ten destinations compiled from official government pages, a comparison view, a chat assistant. The mobile app does not currently include a recommendation form. The “Privacy” link on the app’s Countries screen opens this section.

This service is operated by llab08, Hong Kong, and these terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. The section below explains this product’s data handling and current availability.

Chat is not available. Country profiles, and the comparison view built from them, come from our server; chat stays off until its connection to our AI gateway is switched on. The chat paragraph describes processing when it becomes available.

Summary

The app has no accounts and no sign-in, shows no advertising and loads no analytics, crash-reporting or tracking library. Browsing country profiles sends ordinary requests to our server and nothing else. When chat is enabled, the text you enter can contain personal data.

Chat

When Chat is available, questions you type there are sent to our server. The server looks up matching excerpts of the country profiles and sends your question, the earlier messages of the same conversation (up to twenty, including the assistant’s replies) and those excerpts to llab08’s own AI gateway at sub2api.llab08.com. The gateway runs on our server, and connections to it pass through Cloudflare. It passes the request to a third-party AI model provider, which generates the answer. The gateway and the provider receive that text and nothing about your device. If no excerpt matches, the server says it has no sourced answer and sends nothing to the gateway. We do not use your questions to train any model.

The AI model provider used through our gateway is Anthropic, with its Claude models. Another provider may be used later only after this section is updated. No retention or model-training promise is made on Anthropic’s behalf.

Up to the last twenty messages are held in the server’s memory for the current conversation. Conversations inactive for over one hour are removed during subsequent chat activity; restarting the service clears them. Chat history is not written to our database.

Data kept on your device

Bookmarked countries are stored only in the app’s private storage on your phone; they are never uploaded and disappear when you uninstall the app.

Server logs and rate limits

Our server keeps an access log with each request’s network address, method, path, status and timing for operations and abuse control, and uses the network address to limit how many chat requests a client can make per minute. Chat contents are not written to the log. Logs rotate automatically and we do not use them to identify anyone.

Country profiles are compiled from official government pages and reviewed before publication; every profile and every chat answer cites its source. They are general information, not legal advice.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. Do not include sensitive personal information in chat.
